Muslim Heritage Month Overview

Celebrating the Legacy. Honoring the Contributions. Inspiring the Future.

In July 2023, Governor Tony Evers officially declared July as Muslim Heritage Month in Wisconsin, marking a historic moment of recognition and celebration for the Muslim community. This proclamation acknowledges the countless contributions Muslims have made to the cultural, economic, and social fabric of our state and nation.

At the Wisconsin Muslim Civic Foundation (WMCF), we are proud to lead the celebration of Muslim Heritage Month with a series of community events, educational workshops, and cultural showcases that highlight the diversity and resilience of Muslim Americans.

What to Expect:

  • Cultural Pop-Up Events: Experience the rich traditions of Muslim communities through interactive displays, art exhibits, and storytelling sessions.

  • Educational Workshops: Learn about Muslim contributions to science, math, medicine, and the arts throughout history.

  • Community Dialogues: Join us for conversations with local leaders and community members, fostering understanding and unity.

Join Us in Celebrating:

This July, we invite you to explore, learn, and celebrate with us as we honor the legacy of Muslim communities in Wisconsin. Whether you are attending an event, joining a discussion, or learning something new, you are part of a growing movement to recognize and appreciate the diverse stories that make up our shared history.
